For a slice of nature right on the city’s doorstep, check out Kings Park. Its the most visited attraction in Western Australia, with 6 million visitors each year. To get there it’s just a free bus trip from the CBD, or a nice walk. You won’t be disappointed in the epic views over the city, Swan River, Canning River and the Perth Hills. Spectacular in sunrise and sunset.

Perth’s Port City Fremantle was named Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2016 and it’s easy to see why. Freo as the us locals call it, has it all! Its steeped in colonial history that has been preserved in the street facades,.It’s a charming mix of old, new, funky and multi-cultural. You will love the artisan food, coffee, craft beer, boutique shopping, markets, arts, live music and festivals.

When you visit Freo you must: have coffee on the cappuccino strip, fish and chips on the Fishing Boat Harbour, jump on the tram to learn about the rich history and visit the fascinating Fremantle Prison. Peruse through the famous Fremantle Markets, sample craft beers at Little Creatures and Monk Brewery, explore the Fremantle Arts Centre and Museums, check out the boutiques along High Street and stroll along Bather’s Beach.

Freo is also a great place to base yourself with a range of fantastic accommodation. From here you can also catch the ferry for a day trip over to Rottnest Island, or a cruise up the Swan River back up to Perth.
