Weekends for me can be fairly ruling, particularly when it comes to entertaining the kids in between trying to entertain ourselves. Although we like to head to our local beach and look out for the dolphins, the kids never seem to see them.
I knew that Rockingham was famous for its dolphins, seal lions and penguins and my kids particularly had a bizarre obsession with penguins (thanks Madagascar!) so they were in before I even said penguin!
What a great way to get up close to our marine life and a relaxing day…it made me really appreciate life away from the home and office.
There is something about watching dolphins surfing the waves off the back of your boat and giving you the sense that they can see your having just as much fun as them.
A great day ending with a visit to Penguin Island where the kids got to feed the little penguins and mum and dad got to finally relax on a peaceful secluded beach.
