BBQ Buoys Cruise

BBQ Buoys is a fun 2 hour BBQ boating experience where you rent your own self-drive donut-shaped boat with a BBQ on board.  Enjoy cooking your own lunch on the grill on board and there’s a giant sun umbrella to keep you safe from the sun too.  Just add drinks and nibbles and have a brilliant time on the most picturesque city river in South Australia.

Popeye River Cruise

See Adelaide from the best seat in the house, by cruising along The Torrens River in the heart of the city in a heritage icon. Enjoy a cruise with live commentary from our friendly skipper. Learn how Adelaide is progressing as a city and why it’s been ranked amongst the top liveable cities in the world! A 45 minute round trip leaving from Elder Park, traveling to the weir, back around to The Zoo Landing for a quick stop and arriving back in Elder Park.

Tour Departs:

Weekdays hourly on the hour between 10.00am - 3.00pm and Weekends between 10.00am - 4.00pm. The Popeye Elder Park landing is a five minute walk along King William Street from North Terrace towards the Adelaide Festival Theatre.  On the left just past the theatre you will see the rotunda and Popeye’s Elder Park Landing.

Southern Ocean Adventure Cruise

This breathtaking 90 minute wildlife tour departs from the Granite Island Causeway, Victor Harbour and cruises between the mainland and the northern side of Granite Island, affording spectacular views of both the Victor Harbor shoreline and the island.

Colonies of seals and sea lions can be found basking on the rocks and swimming in the shallows and pods of Common and Bottlenose dolphins can be spotted playing or feeding. The Big Duck heads past the darkly spectacular cliffs of Kings Beach and Waitpinga before returning to Granite Island Causeway.

During winter Southern Right Whales and Humpback Whales migrate from Antarctic waters to the warmer ocean around Australia to feed,mate and give birth. The Big Duck is a licensed whale watching vessel and it is a privilege to enter the Southern Right Whale breeding sanctuary of Encounter Bay and to view these majestic animals from the waterline.  Southern Right Whales are much larger and less active (above the waterline) than Humpback Whales commonly seen on the East Coast of Australia.  For this reason, whale sightings cannot be guaranteed.  We also adhere to the minimum approach distance of 300 metres.  Should Whales not be in the area the cruise will revert to a Wildlife Tour.
