Margaret River is a unique region, famous around the world for two things, surf and wine. Two world’s will collide this April when Margaret River plays host to a number of the world’s top surfers along with their thousands of fans. The world’s top surfers will take to Margaret River’s famous waves at Surfer’s Point for the annual Margaret River Pro. The top 36 ranked male and top 18 ranked female surfers in the world will take on the famous Margaret River Mainbreak and the fearsome Box from 8th to 19th April.

Spend the morning exploring the Margaret River Pro event site with access that will make the VIP’s jealous. Then enjoy a glass of Margaret River wine in the VIP area, while watching the best surfers in the world competing in a heat or two of the World Surf League event

This year’s event will feature the top 36 ranked male and top 18 female surfers. From Kelly Slater & Taj Burrows to Stephanie Gilmour and Carissa Page. With thousands of spectators expected across the competition, this is your chance to view the event from the best seats in the house without having to worry about transport, parking or sunburn.

From this international sporting event, it is just a short drive to Margaret River’s wineries, where you will be taken behind the scenes to discover why this famous surf region is rated one of the world’s best wine regions.

Surfing Lesson, Winery Tour & VIP Access

Surf Margaret River Tour

Don’t just watch the Margaret River Pro experience the surfing for yourself!

 

Enjoy an unforgettable Margaret River surfing lesson and a personalised winery tour all in the same day. Journey off road into Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park where depending on the surf conditions, some four wheel driving may be required to reach the ideal surfing beach. Slip into a comfy wetsuit and grab a soft-top surfboard. Once on the beach learn how to identify the safest location to enter the water, how to navigate your way through the waves and of course how to catch a broken wave, stand up and surf it to the beach. An experienced surfing instructor will be beside you in the water the entire time, pushing you into waves, offering feedback, encouragement and a lot of high fives. It is not uncommon for dolphins to drop by and join in on the fun too. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the stunning Boranup Forest before finishing the day with a tasting tour at the regions finest boutique wineries, micro breweries and local gourmet producers.
